What is A pronoun?
A pronoun is a word that takes the place of a noun. There are multiple types of pronouns. The ones that you will be learning on this website are pronouns in the nominative, objective, possessive, reflexive, intensive, and demonstrative case. Some common pronouns are he, him, his she, her, hers, me, my, i, you, it, they, we, us, their, and ours.
Why should you use pronouns?
Pronouns just sound better. Here's some proof, let's say that we have these two sentence:
Jimmy likes cake. Jimmy eats cake on his birthday.
This is correct, but it is much better to just say:
Jimmy likes cake. He eats cake on his birthday.
You do not have to say Jimmy again, because it is already known to the reader that Jimmy is the subject. Due to this understanding, you can get rid of the noun and place a pronoun there.
