reflexive and intensive pronouns
Reflexive and intensive pronouns are pronouns that end in the suffix -self. Example would be himself, herself, itself, ourselves, yourself, and themselves.
Reflexive pronouns refer back to the subject.
Michael found himself in the mountains. (Himself is the relative pronoun and is referring to Michael)
Intensive pronouns emphasize the subject. They are often placed right next to the subject.
I myself am going out to eat. (Myself is the intensive pronoun and is not essential to the sentence)
